In the afternoon you could visit the Isle of Arran distillery in Lochranza. A dynamic new force in the scotch whisky industry, Isle of Arran Distillers is one of the few remaining independent distilleries in Scotland. Based at Lochranza on the Isle of Arran, one of the most beautiful and famous in Scotland which lies off the West Coast between Ayrshire and Kintyre.
The Visitor Centre offers fully guided tours, an audio visual presentation set in a mock eighteenth century Smuggler's Inn, an exhibition, shop and restaurant. You'll learn about whisky making from the professionally trained guides, enjoy a spectacular exhibition set around a thirty foot indoor waterfall and experience a little bit of history in the making.
Afternoon snack -- tea and scones
Gourmet evening meal at 8:00pm for 8.30pm (5 courses, plus sparkling wine to cheer in 2011).

Suggested afternoon activity -- explore the beauty of Arran, and enjoy a gentle walk to one of the beautiful areas of Arran, such as the Glenashdale Falls in Whiting Bay or the standing stones on Machrie Moor.
Walking maps and packed lunches will be available. The suggested walks will be relatively straightforward, although wet weather may make them muddy in places. Walking shoes are recommended
Glenashdale falls is one of the most impressive waterfalls in the West of Scotland. The waterfall itself falls over 140 feet (45 metres) in 2 parts to a plunge pool, and then over another ledge to the river below. The path is about 2 miles and is straightforward,.

The bar hours are:
- 11am until 11pm on 30th December and 1st January
- 11am on 31st December until 1am 1st January
After 11pm (1am on 1st January) the main hotel bar will close, no further alcoholic drinks will be served and guests will be asked to use the residents’ lounge for socialising once the bar is closed. No non-residents may remain in the building once the hotel bar has closed.

- Credit card details will be required to confirm the booking and a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the tariff will be payable at time of booking.
- One month before the arrival date the outstanding tariff will be taken from the credit card provided at booking.
- No refund will be made in the event of cancellation.
- Because stormy weather can disrupt ferry services it is strongly advised that you have travel insurance should you need to cancel your stay at the Glenisle Hotel for any reason or are unable to get to Arran due to cancellation of the ferry services.
