Where is the Glenisle?

The Glenisle is located in the charming village of Lamlash on the east coast of the Isle of Arran and only three miles south of the main ferry terminal in Brodick.

We are situated at the heart of the village facing the sea-side green and looking directly across Lamlash Bay to the Holy Isle and the Ayrshire coast beyond.

Where is the Isle of Arran?

The Isle of Arran is the most southerly of all the Scottish island and is located about 80 km south-west of Glasgow in the Firth of Clyde between the Ayrshire coast and the Kintyre peninsula.

The profile of the island as seen from the Ayrshire coast resembles a reclining figure and because of this the island is often known as "The Sleeping Warrior".

Despite is nearness to Glasgow, the island retains the feeling of escape from the hustle bustle of modern life. In fact, most people experience a feeling of relaxation as soon the island ferry departs the mainland.
