ADLIBITUM

Andrea and Djordje Gajic make up the exciting violin/accordion duo, AdLibitum. Both extremely proficient artists in their own solo careers, together they perform an exciting repertoire and have given concerts in Scotland, England, Serbia, and at the Victoria International Arts Festival in Gozo, Malta. In March 2018 AdLibitum performed with double bassist Nikita Naumov in Rostov, and in June 2018 they were performing again at Victoria International Arts Festival in Gozo.

RAT RACE – ULTRA TOUR OF ARRAN

The first ever Folk Festival on the Isle of Arran was almost 50 years ago!

It was then re-invented in 1989 and last year saw it celebrate their official 25th Anniversary (and it only took 30years to get there!)

ARRAN MALT & MUSIC FESTIVAL

This year, our Arran Malt & Music Festival will take place from Friday 28th – Sunday 30th June, with the main Festival Day on Saturday 29th June.

A full programme of masterclasses will be available to take part in on the day, including the hugely popular Ultimate Masterclass.

BRODICK HIGHLAND GAMES

Brodick Highland Games have been held in the village every year since 1886, excepting the two World Wars, and short breaks at the beginning of 20C, early 1960s and the re-working of Ormidale Park in 1996.

A great traditional day out for all the family! Heavy events, highland dancing, athletics, children’s fancy dress and stalls galore!

SPENCER & STRACHAN DUO

Violinist Rachel Spencer and Cellist Duncan Strachan have been performing together as a duo since 2010 when they met as students at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. As Live Music Now artists, they specialise in performing to children and young people, and this concert has children at its heart. Ravel’s duo is one of his great masterpieces, at once spare and uncompromising and rich and expressive.

TRIO VOLANT

Trio Volant, a Manchester based woodwind trio, was formed in 2010 whilst all the members were studying at the Royal Northern College of Music. The Trio regularly give formal recitals and lunchtime concerts in and around Manchester and the North West as well as further afield from Wales to Essex! Past engagements have included recitals for Darlington Music Society, Little Gaddesden and District Concert Club, Wisbech Concert Society, Buxton International Music Festival, Huddersfield Music Society, Harlech Concert Society, Harrogate International Music Festival, Lincoln International Chamber Music Festival and Maldon Festival of Arts amongst many others. The Trio particularly enjoy the opportunity to perform the lesser known reed trio chamber music repertoire.

International award-winning concert pianist Santa Ignace began her studies with her father at age six. With precision and skill Santa has combined her early jazz influences with 30 years of study and performances in classical music. Santa has performed all over the world as a recitalist, soloist and with an orchestra.

We will be holding another ‘Psychic Supper’ on the Friday 4th October which will include two courses and a live floor show with Anne Clarke. Tickets are priced at £25pp.
