Welcome To The

Glenisle Hotel

The Glenisle Hotel is nestled in the charming village of Lamlash the hotel boasts one of the most beautiful locations on the Isle of Arran; looking across Lamlash Bay toward the Holy Isle which rises 1,000 feet out of the sea.

This charming, ancient island inn is now an award-winning boutique hotel.

Once you have experienced Arran from the comfort of the Glenisle Hotel you might find yourself, like so many others, coming back year after year for a regular break which both relaxes and revitalises.

At The Heart Of The

Isle of Arran

Often called “Scotland in Miniature”, the Isle of Arran is the jewel in Scotland’s crown by virtue of it’s great diversity in natural beauty and wildlife.

The Isle of Arran has possibly the most varied landscape of any of the Scottish isles. This is partly because the Highland Boundary Fault which runs northeast to southwest through Scotland and which separates the highlands from the lowlands actually runs right through the middle of Arran. Therefore, the island really is Scotland in Miniature with a rugged, mountainous north and a gentler, rolling south.

What a perfect Island hotel. Right on the beach. We stayed in the suite at the top – with a view that made all the stress of life melt away instantly. A gorgeous room… and it’s hard to imagine anything more luxurious than lying in an enormous roll top bath looking out across the sea to the stunning Holy Isle. Can’t say how perfect this place is – amazing food, beautiful rooms, wonderful staff and every corner is just beautifully designed. We are already planning a return.

aving stayed last year and booked again at check out, we were really looking forward to another stay. Fantastic evening meal last night and again at lunch – the special mushroom risotto at lunch was amazing. We are looking forward to the launch of the new dinner menu this evening and have already had a sneak preview and tasting. Checking diaries to arrange another visit when the weather gets better. Such a lovely experience and well worth the visit.

Intended to stay two nights but due to the weather had to stay longer, could not have picked a better place to be stuck at. The staff were extremely helpful in finding us accommodation especially the owner (Anne) she was of the opinion that “nothing was a problem”, the rooms and meals were first class and would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had a warm welcome at this lovely hotel which has a homely feel about it. It is ideally located and has beautiful views. The room was perfect and had nice extras such as binoculars and Arran Aromatic toiletries. The new owners were very friendly as were all the staff we encountered. We didn’t have dinner in the hotel but the breakfast was amazing.

We stayed at the Glenisle for just one night, picking up a last minute booking. There was a personal welcome letter, with friendly and efficient staff across the board. We had a delightful meal in the bistro – which was worth booking ahead for – and found the room spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a huge spread and set us up for a day of walking.

Would definitely recommend staying here when you visit Arran!
